Monday I went to the store for some milk. I love milk, however I do not love the price… That is a whole different topic that I am keeping far from my post. The odd thing is that I only purchased one gallon of milk, but the receipt shows 2 items sold. Here is a picture of the receipt.

Yes it is odd. But I can explain-having worked at Hy-Vee and noticing that on many a receipt. It is because the cashier had to type in her worker ‘code’ thing (can’t think of what you would call it). Well, you type that in just like you do any produce or what-not. So according to the computer it is another ‘item bought’. Strange? Yes. But computers are not the smartest people out there–even if they are smarter than I am. 🙂
I figured it would be something to do with the cashier name, but I looked at other receipts I have form there, and most don’t have that.
I like the “expect more from an employee owned store”, who’da thunk it was non-existant Items?
